What is ART CAPITAL?

The purpose of the website www.artcapital.fr is to present the ART CAPITAL fair organized each year in Paris by the Comité de Liaison des Cinq (association under the 1901 law). On the occasion of the ART CAPITAL event, four historic fairs come together under the glass roof of the Grand Palais in Paris:

  • The Comparison Lounge;

  • The French Artists’ Salon;

  • The Drawing and Watercolour Painting Exhibition;

  • The Independents' Fair.

Use of personal data collected

The purpose of these General Terms of Use is to define the terms of use of the site "www.artcapital.fr" (hereinafter the "Site") by any person who browses it, in particular to obtain information or to make a reservation (hereinafter the "User"). All browsing on the Site is subject to these General Terms of Use (also hereinafter "GTU").

Use and consultation of the site

The Site can be consulted freely, without prior creation of an account.

The User undertakes to use the Site in accordance with these T&Cs, use of the Site implying the User's unreserved acceptance and compliance with the T&Cs.

The User's attention is drawn to the fact that certain operations carried out through the Site, and in particular the Purchase of entry tickets to the ART CAPITAL event (carried out on a third-party site), imply that the data communicated by him/her is complete and accurate. Consequently, the User undertakes to only communicate information that meets these conditions. The User is also informed of the fact that he/she must communicate certain information about him/herself in order for the Purchase to be taken into account. Similarly, any use of the "Contact" form or the "Newsletter subscription" form may involve the communication of specific information.

Furthermore, any malicious or fraudulent use of the Site may give rise to legal proceedings.

Access to the Site may be interrupted or suspended, without notice, in the event of force majeure, technical problems beyond our control and/or for maintenance or update operations.

Intellectual property

The general structure of the Site and its content (texts, files, images, sounds, videos, etc.) have been specially designed and produced by the Comité de Liaison des Cinq association and/or on its behalf. Any use, extraction, modification, reproduction or exploitation, in whole or in part, of the Site, including the domain names associated with it, by any means whatsoever, without the express prior written authorization of the Comité de Liaison des Cinq is strictly prohibited.

Hyperlinks

The links on the website www.artcapital.fr may direct the User to sites belonging to third parties without the Liaison Committee of the Five being responsible for this. The Liaison Committee of the Five has no control over these links, which are provided solely to facilitate the User's navigation on the Site. The Liaison Committee of the Five cannot be held responsible in any way for the activation of these links and/or the content of the sites to which the User is redirected or for any damage caused to the User by the use or malfunction of these sites.

Privacy Policy – Use of Cookies

When you visit our Site, information relating to your browsing on it may be recorded in “Cookie” files installed on your device (computer, tablet, mobile phone, connected television, etc.).

The Cookies used on our Site allow us to identify the services and sections that the User has visited, and more generally their behavior in terms of visits. This information is useful to better personalize services and content. However, they do not allow the User to be identified as such.

    At the bottom, click Advanced Settings.
    In the “Privacy and security” section, click Content settings.
    Click on Cookies.
    You can disable the Allow sites to save/read cookie data option.

  • On Safari:
    Go to Settings > Preferences
    Click on the Privacy tab
    In the “Block cookies” area, check the “always” box.

  • On Opera:
    Go to Settings > Preferences
    Click on the “advanced” tab
    In the “Cookies” area, check the “Never accept cookies” box.

Personal data

The Liaison Committee of the Five wishes to inform you that it may collect certain personal data about you during your visit to the Site, including the following data:


– information concerning the pages you have consulted on our Site,
– information that you voluntarily provide to us (surname, first name, email address, postal address, telephone number, etc.), for example by completing forms on our Site or as part of surveys in which you participate,
– your IP address when you visit our Site.

The information collected is mainly used for the following purposes:
– the execution of your purchase of an entry ticket for the ART CAPITAL event,
– customer relationship management
– the management of requests made through the various forms available on the Site (such as requests for information using the “Contact”, “Registration” sections, etc.)
– the backup of collected data,
– carrying out statistical analyses, in particular on the use of the Site.

They may, where applicable, be communicated to the partners involved in the provision of the Service, the subject of your Purchase.

Pursuant to the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, as amended in 2004, all Users have the right to access, rectify and oppose their personal data. To this end, the User must submit a request either by email to the following address: contact(at)artcapital.fr, or by post to: Comité de Liaison des Cinq (Art Capital), Grand Palais, Avenue Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 75008 Paris, stating their full name and address.

Safety measure

We strive to take appropriate measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal data. As such, we make our best efforts to use computer systems containing appropriate protective measures.

Social networks

The Liaison Committee of the Five has opened a personalized account with several social networks about the Art Capital event (under the name ArtCapitalParis), including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram.

The Liaison Committee of the Five reserves the right to update the list of its personalized accounts mentioned above. The User may access them in accordance with these Terms of Use as well as the general conditions of use and the personal data policy applicable to each of the aforementioned social networks, after having read them themselves.

Responsibility

It is the User's responsibility to ensure that their Internet connection is secure in order to protect their equipment, data or software against any intrusions they may suffer.

The Liaison Committee of the Five cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage (including damage to the User's equipment) resulting from a computer virus, hacking or any other fraudulent intrusion on the Site by a third party. More generally, the Liaison Committee of the Five cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from consulting the Site or from a malfunction generated during a connection to the Site.

The Liaison Committee of the Five strives to constantly update the information on the Site but gives no guarantee as to the completeness, exhaustiveness or accuracy of this information, which has no contractual value and is subject to change at any time.

Modifications to these T&Cs

The Liaison Committee of the Five may at any time modify these T&Cs by publishing a revised version on the Site, stating the date of modification.

Applicable law and competent jurisdiction

These T&Cs are subject to French law. In the event of disputes arising from these T&Cs and pursuant to Article 46 of the Code of Civil Procedure, the competent courts are those within the jurisdiction of the Paris Court of Appeal, without prejudice, where applicable, to the application of the mandatory provisions of Article L.141-5 of the Consumer Code.
